While Hublot pays homage to Mexico and Thomas Prescher came with Qatar Watch, RICHARD MILLE chooses Argentina. The Swiss watch manufacturer – famous for its RM 027 Tourbillon model worn by Rafael Nadal on his tennis matches – salutes the country of Maradona, Messi and Javier Pastore by introducing ultra-thin (8.25 mm) watches with a limited edition of 15 pieces.
The new RM 016 DLC TITANIUM ARGENTINA is characterized by the color of Argentina’s flag: light blue on its numerals, indications, and hands. They are pretty contrast with the darkness of the watch resulted by black DLC titanium case, skeletonized automatic winding movement and black rubber strap with deployment-buckle. With dimensions 49.80 x 38.00 x 8.25 mm, the watch has functions of hours, minutes and date display at 7 o’clock. Power reserve is 55 hours and water resistant to 30 meters.
Like the other RM 016 series, the RICHARD MILLE ARGENTINA WATCH incorporates rectangular extra flat case that is tapered to fit the wrist. Also, it features the same attention to detail and technical achievement as its tonneau-shaped predecessors. The manufacture and assembly of the tripartite case require 202 separate machining operations. And its unidirectional rotor with variable geometry, an exclusive to Richard Mille, allows the movement’s winding mechanism to be optimized and personalized to the owner’s lifestyle.
The limited edition RM Argentina Watch is available at authorized Richard Mille retailers in the region, as well as the Richard Mille Boutique in Beverly Hills, California.
